PROTOTYPE WALKTHROUGH
In this video, I walk through the main features of LINK's prototype and how one would navigate it.
LINK re-imagines the viewing and interactive experience on live-streaming platforms through the lens of gamers and those who watch gaming streamers.
SUMMARY DECK

Summary Deck: Deck that summarizes research and design decisions for LINK.
RESEARCH
COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS

Twitch: Primarily focuses on live interaction with its chat feature, and while it has some community-building aspects (like Discord servers or social media followings), it lacks the seamless integration of forums or fan club pages within the platform itself.
YouTube Gaming: While it also allows for communities through its comments and subscription-based content, it doesn't provide as strong a focus on personalized, integrated forums or fan clubs within the platform itself.
Facebook Gaming: Has some community features but is more social media-driven and lacks the deep, organized discussion forums and fan club concept that LinkUp proposes.
INTERVIEW
After conducting competitive analyses, I navigated 3 different gamers and live-stream watchers and asked them about their current experience with live-streaming platforms.

TAKEAWAYS AND INSIGHTS
1. Users are frustrated and impatient with the amount of ads on live-streaming platforms.
2. Users find it hard to navigate their favorite streamers and hate endlessly scrolling through irrelevant content.
3. Cluttered UI and UX design can deter users away from using the app completely.
4. Low latency vs. high latency is an important aspect because large timing lags create a disconnect between viewers and streamers.
5. Every streamer has content laid out differently for their streams; like their subscriber goal, extra links, and pop-ups.
